Work has been keeping me busy in a good way. Also, work is air conditioned, so my incentive to spend more time there is greater.
Last weekend I did not do any work-work. I made pizza and banana bread, and tuned my cello. I hadn't really picked it up in eight years, so that shows you the extent to which I was trying to avoid doing work-work. I popped two strings. I had a replacement on hand for the A, but not for the D. A three-stringed cello will just not do, and I meant to get a new D on Monday, but things got busy and now it's almost Wednesday and I've moved on to fixing my curtains and cat sitting.
I might have some friends coming into town on Thursday and I feel wildly unprepared. But it's okay – these things have a way of working out and then before you know it another weekend will be here and perhaps I will crochet, or alphabetize my books, or make crumpets.
Kathleen,
ReplyDeleteI've just finished reading 'Running with the Turkeys', all in one go. I loved it. And not only because I'm planning on moving to Istanbul. I could really hear a voice, if you get what I mean. Thank you :-)
All the best with this blog, and with your life back home
